@Fred Maul, I was pleasantly surprised to see other North Carolinians on the site. I actually met with a real estate investor yesterday to get some pointers.

Hi my name is Jeremias Martinez and I've been on BP a couple of weeks now . I am interested in learning the business of wholesaling. I have zero experience but I am very motivated and a quick learner. My short term goal is to wholesale enough homes to save for a deposit on a rental. As for my long term goal I would like to own a handful of rental properties and live of the cash flow. I would love to find a local wholesaler who can show me ropes and maybe even mentor me. Currently online looking for some guidance in wholesaling homes. Not as easy as they make it seem. Open to any advise. Also does anyone have a sample of the one page assignment contract for NC? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Timothy, thanks for your input I have been waiting to read a response, now when you say"take the contract to the title company so that they can open it" what do you mean when you say open it.
