@Account Closed Got it! I like this idea because you have the income monthly and still own the asset for appreciation (which is strictly a bonus).
Hopefully, the "geniuses" in Washington don't take this option away!

By "rentals" I am assuming you mean purchasing single family properties that are managed by a turn-key provider?

Thanks for the input Crystal.....I believe he has experience with private money lending already. Just looking to increase the returns a little.
This all may be a moot point if congress proceeds with eliminating most of what can be done with a SDIRA??

That would be more along the lines of a JV project instead of just private money lending...correct? The potential for better returns is greater here I would think.
