Wondering if anyone has advice on this subject? As a high wage w2 earner, I have heard horror stories about wage garnishment in law suits. In my research, it seems the LLC, if managed and ran correctly, would provide the best protection in this situation. Advice?

Newbie investor team looking to start-up in the Columbia Metro area.  We can't seem to get our arms around the market...multifamily, single-family, townhomes, or condos. Please advise.
