Alex J. I also don't think there will be a big drop in price, since it's so difficult to build in the Bay Area. Do you think we will be around the same level for the next 5 years?

Ashley Watkins Welcome to the Bay Area! I still find many interesting neighborhood after 10+ years of living here. It's also quarter-end for me but I'm going to the summit...hell or high water ;)

Bill F. I'd like to invest locally since this is the only market I know well. But it's not easy... I also don't think OOS is easy either

Joe J. I can absolutely identified with you on buying in a cyclical market. The swing is very big in our markets. However, it's also very forgiving, if you hold long term. I have not met a Bay Area home owner who said that their house was worth less 20 years ago. Gentrification also played a big part in Bay Area and I feel that this is the only safe place to invest locally.

Tyler Mullen Which foreign stock are you investing in now? How's your local RE market doing?

Joe J. Very true. I'm only seeing the local market. How's LA doing? Any slow down at all?

Caleb Heimsoth How is tax assessed in TX? One of the advantage in CA is that the tax base can't go up much. Do you get reassess every year?

Andrew Johnson So true! In stock, my old CEO jokingly said that he use the buy-high-and-sell-low strategy. He is just being honest. I think most people do the same and won't admit it or don't even know they are doing it. I guess real estate is the same!
