Let me start off by saying that I am extremely new to all of this. I just had lunch with a couple of very successful investors so I can ask questions blah blah blah , basic REI 101 suff. I left feeling a little discouraged after them telling me that the market has about 6 months to a year window before it crashes again and it's probably not a good time to invest. "real estate market is good, way too good, too good to be true...". Thoughts anyone?

Toyin Dawodu Hi newbie here, couple questions , explain exactly what 70% off market value means? What ever the comps are you get the property %70 off that? And what exactly is a good deal and how do you find them? Thanks in advance.

@Dmitriy Fomichenko I just read the BP beginner's guide book last week, very good links and info. Thank you so much. Having a little trouble with the tag feature on here though.

@James Wise @Paul Timmins @Andrew Syrios Thank you so much guys.

@Joh Huber thank you my friend. I'm new and still trying to figure all this out. Curious as to how do you go about researching properties, scouting locations?

@Jon Huber good advice, congratulations!! I'm actually from around that area, Sarasota.

Hello everyone, my name is Jeph Cangé and I'm a newbie living in Atlanta studying film and theater. I knew very little about real estate until I stumbled on @brandonatbp youtubes early last month while researching. I immediately started watching more and more of the videos because he made the field sound not so intimidating. Real estate has always been of interest so I'm here to learn as much as I can. My focus are in Multi-Family, buy and hold, flip and repositioning. I recently finished reading David Lindahl's book Multi-Family Millions, any suggestions on follow up reading materials and advice are welcomed. I hope to learn enough in the next few months to be able to formulate a plan and go after some quads maybe even 10-20 units.
