It's fun!!! I'm clearly not where you are in this venture, but I think I can relate to the aspect of not needing money to a point and searching for a stronger why to continue to push. Real Estate is an adventure and it hits a strong amount of my needs.  An adventure because I don't know everything, so everyday is brand new and offers so much variety.  I can remodel a home, and learn 100 different skills scouring through youtube. I get to network with a tremendous amount of people who know 100x's more than I do.  I get challenged to push myself out of my comfort zone, learn and grow far beyond what I think I'm capable of.  There is a strong amount of uncertainty which gets my adrenaline going.  Growing up I didn't have much, and I consider my family definitely on the lower side of the income spectrum.  I want the money and success because it will give me a strong sense of significance.  I believe that I'm building on somewhat of a foundation that my great great grandparents began.  I'm the first kid in my generation to graduate high school and college. Most of my family due to poor structure have dropped out of school by the 10th grade. So, I'm just trying to set up the next generation to be better off than mine, and maybe even be able to pull some up to the metaphorical top. Maybe one day my great grandchildren will be Harvard students running a major hedge fund and changing the world! If you are bored of buy and hold investments, shake things up a bit. Do some other aspect of real estate or something totally different.  Maybe mentor someone, or teach a class.  Good luck bro, hope you find your why!!

Hey guys/gals

I'm a full-time firefighter/paramedic and part time real estate agent who's pretty much new to real estate investing.  I found Josh D and Brandon T. on youtube speaking about real estate and soon after I was on my quest towards real estate investing.  I owned a single-family home 3/2/2 I bought in 2009, decided I wanted to grab that equity while in our bull market and use it to invest in other things.  So in the past few months I've been able to get my real estate license online, register with a broker, renovate my home (kitchen, bathrooms, drywall, appliances, roof, etc) all on credit cards and PayPal credit,  List my home, and just SOLD it for full asking price :). Talk about massive action.  That project gave me the bug for fixing up homes. My father and mother have moved out of town and left me in charge of our old home (the one i've grew up in) built in 1980. It needs a TON of work!!!  I'm super excited about the learning curve I'm going to overcome and all the challenges that come with it. My plan is to spend some time with a GC, get my hands dirty with everything I can increasing my skills and increasing my value in the market place. I spend an immense amount of time reading about all types of investments, listening to Tony Robbins, hanging with my Fire family, Real Estate Family, and my dope girlfriend. I get to live rent/mortgage free, have no car payment, travel a lot (planned all of this out 5 years ago) and look forward to building up a nice portfolio of single family residences, multi-family homes, and big apartment units. I love my full-time job and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I'm extremely obsessed with real estate. I'm ready to hustle and become financially free. I'm excited about learning, growing and contributing anyway I can. Cheers to the future!!
