@Bob Norton the husband passed in 2014 and had relatives listed but all lived out of state. The wife passed last March but didn’t have any relatives listed other then where her parents and husband passed before her. So I been running into a dead end there. I’m going to try the funeral home to see if maybe they have a contact for whoever arranged her funeral.

@Bob Norton that’s what I was wanting to do was mail a letter to them offering to buy it when I found out where to get in touch with them. When I checked with the water department today they said they couldn’t tell me anything other then the city they sent the bill to. But she did tell me no one has been paying the fees the city charges.

How can you find out who owns a property that is abandoned where the listed owners on the GIS have passed away? Will the tax assessor give you info on who’s paying the taxes?

@AJ H. The house is paid for. The debt is credit cards and then a line of credit on another property.

Have a house I have listed but only one offer that was real low. It’s paid for so if I sell I’ll pay off all my other debt. Which is $114k and it’s listed for $269k. I know I’ll end having to pay taxes if I sell. So should I keep it and rent it and borrow against it for the next house or follow through and sell it so I have actual cash?
