For all newbies:
If you start a business and you need a website, Microsoft offers a free (and nice) one that you easily can set up yourself.
Good luck!

Hi Eric,
Thanks for responding.
I actually live fairly close to where Griswold's used to be.
Yes, used to be. I am very sad :violin: about it because their 'buffets' were delicious.
I went back to Europe for a year or so (I am Dutch) and when I came back, it was gone.
I never knew that Arnold S. worked out in Claremont!! Where?
I'd love to go get 'm Eric; I need to learn how first, though. (Suggestions welcome).
And what made you leave Southern-California? Did you get a chance to invest here?

Hi All,
I am new on here and wanted to start off this relationship by wishing each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a very, not only Happy, but Rewarding New Year.
I am totally new at investing, even though I gathered (I also studied!) real estate information and put it in a website.
So, it looks as if I already know what I am talking about but that is not really so.
Hope that doesn't sound too dumb!
So, I would love to learn how to actually DO it.
Thank you.

Hi Jenn,
I hope you will take some time to check out the really nice properties out there because I think, some time from now, it will be a good investment.
I have not seen anything that looks like the pictures you show. However, I can totally imagine that that would keep a person away! Ewww!
Let me know how it goes if you go will you?

Thank you Chris. I noticed that you are a Note Broker.
I have recently become very interested in the concept of Notes.
I just started studying a course in it. It is so much however, that I think it will be a while before I get the hang of it.
Have you been a Note Broker a long time? And more importantly: do you like it?
Of course, I would appreciate any advice or suggestions if you have a spare minute.

It was not my intention.
I added the signature later not knowing it would also show up in the 'older' posts.

Hi Jenn,
I just signed up about 15 minutes ago and read your post.
I live in California too (Claremont) and I happened to come across some investment opportunities you might want to check into.
I recently visited Salton City (at the Salton Sea). They intend to 'fix up' the lake and surrounding area and make it a booming place. Plans are already in place. You can check out the official sites on Google.
In that area are a number of gorgeous, INEXPENSIVE, houses (for instance around $265,000 for a NEW 3BR/2BA/2CAR 1700 sqft, large yard house, extremely well insulated. Most houses also have all appliances).
Then there are a large number of lakeside lots available for around $30,000.
I think it is all well worth the money and if I had any, I would have bought a bunch of them!!
If you want to know more (I found some sites that sell), let me know.
Good luck.
Joyce
P.S. I am not in any way associated with any of the above; I just happened to come across it.
