Anybody see a downside in selling individual stocks/ETFs in my portfolio that are showing a loss to lock in those losses for tax purposes next year and then redeploy the cash to low priced index funds?

Connor,

They may have changed their format since you looked last.  When I click on the "20% Off" button, it does take me to a landing page and asks for a name and email address.  You enter that info in and hit the "Start Today" button and they send you an email with the discount code...but no link or anything to get anywhere substantive.

Has anybody tried using the Pro discount for BankProspector.com and successfully been able to apply it?  Their website is an absolute maze that only leads you to a 2 hour long video where they try to sell you training, etc. along with monthly access...the checkout for which has no place to enter the provided BP Pro promo code.  I've also been unable to find where you can just subscribe to the monthly service and not pay the $500 for training that you may or may not want/need.

I recently invested in a deal in Lake Elsinore not far from this property and would agree with the majority of the people on this thread that say the this house is not worth anywhere close to $400K.
