We are in the process of purchasing a foreclosed property from a bank. The bank will not give a full search and clear title. In this case what steps do I take?

Looking for some information on buying property through bank foreclosure. I'm in a process of purchasing it property and I'm told that the bank will only give me a clear title from the time they took possession of property. What shall I do? If I go past the date of closing the bank wants to charge me per day.
