@Suny Capezzuto that is a good point, but if they’re working for me (not their own company) do they still have that requirement?

I’ve considered that option and will do that as a last resort, however I think that hiring someone (yes an independent contractor) would be a more cost effective and likely a more effective overall option. Of course if I’m wrong a property management company is a last resort that I’d be willing to consider.

Has anyone successfully hired someone to perform some of these routine duties? Any suggestions on the best way to find someone?

I currently own and self-manage 3 rental properties and am adding another one soon. I’m also planning a move out of state and need to find someone to do the day to day management of the properties (showings, coordinating repairs with contractors, move ins/outs, etc.). Has anyone been successful with this? Any tips for someone making their first hire of this type? I’m thinking of listing an Indeed ad.

P.S. I’m in Cleveland, OH area.
