Post: Large (medium?) Multi Family Purchasing

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well. How does someone starting out in investing get going in large multi-families (really medium? 5-10 units)? I’m reading a lot about contacting agents and building your brand to gain prestige or “proving you’re a serious investor.”

I'm having a lot of trouble getting agents to respond at all or build a relationship to even start the process of a search. That said, I'm not finding a lot of listings on MLS sites (also have access in a different state, not so many listings there either).

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Including finding responsive agents. Thanks in advice! Stay well.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I’m new to the real estate investing (any sort of investing) world and just getting started. Mainly hoping for passive income as a buy and hold investor. I’m tuning in from the Tri-State area but looking for info on renting as a quasi-remote land lord in less price-y markets.

Thanks to everyone for info and for Bigger Pockets for starting every source they have. I’m hoping to become knowledgeable enough to comment on posts and bring an out of the box thought or two to the table.

Best of luck!

- Joe
