Derek,

I am glad to know that I am not alone.  I "discovered" this new community and this is all I read.  I feel the same way about my current job now and its a good job, very "secure" and good pay but just though that maybe I am ought to be doing something else with my planning and so I am 34 and have started a 5 year "exit plan" from my current career.  The thing is everyone around me thinks I am crazy and my husband thinks I am just getting obsessed.

Hello,

I am new to the BiggerPockets community, I am 34 and have this crazy idea that I can also quit my job in 5 years if I strategically plan my rental portfolio. I am eager to learn about everything I need to get rolling with REI but seem to hear everywhere that I should get my license. I am about to pay $300 to register for an in-person course. Am I heading in the right direction? I will have everything in line "money wise" to start looking for properties by Mid Oct-Nov. Any advise?
