@Alex Deacon thanks for the advice. I'll definitely work on being persistent and strengthen my buying position first. I've got a decent idea on the neighborhoods I would like to invest in but any advice on areas to absolutely stay away from?

Thanks,

John

Hey BiggerPockets,

I'm interested in starting my real estate investing with small apartment buildings (around 5-12 units) in the Pittsburgh area but am having a tough time finding real estate agents who excel with these property types.

Any suggestions on generating leads and finding agents who specialize in this apartment building size?

PS. I'll be an out of state investor and currently live in Seattle.

Thanks

@Junior Soares great story and good job!

Mind giving some advice about building those team where you are investing? Maybe one lesson learned or key idea going into it that helped you build your team.

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice everyone! Might have to reconsider the partnership route but live in flip sounds like the best way to get started.

Thanks

Hey BP community,

I'm John and I've recently moved to south Minneapolis and am looking to get started with REI. I've been listening to the BP podcast for a while now and can't wait to get started investing. My goals are long term buy and hold cash flow properties, preferably small multifamily or a live in flip starting out.

I'm thinking about looking for a partner to invest with starting out, someone who has experience with the BRRR method. Is this a good way to start?

Any suggestions on finding a partner to invest with?
