Hey everyone,

My name is Johnny Brooks. I am a new member to BiggerPockets, as well as the whole real estate investing world. Just learning as much as I can. 

Have only ever rented, but fortunately don't have any debt and am just saving up for my first down payment some day. 

Currently living in New Orleans as an engineer, but don't see myself here long term as there are limited opportunities here in my industry. 

Real estate goals are to eventually buy my first house, possibly "house-hack" it, pay it off, save up for the 2nd one, rent it out, and so on. I'm pretty conservative with my approach I feel like, but am open-minded to learn from others experiences and just soak up as much as I can. 

I started listening to the podcast probably about a month ago now and have listened to roughly 15 episodes or so. 

Looking forward to connecting with others on the forums and eventually becoming financial independent with the help from real estate investing in the future.
