First year pay for a First Officer at a Regional airline on the lower end is about $2700/month before taxes.

In the link you can look up any Regional Airline and see their pay scale. Then for fun look up the Legacy airline’s captain pay. 

Running a crash pad is not a bad idea. Have bunk beds in all rooms and pack them in. 4-5 beds possible in a room.
