Hi BP, have any of you had success with a good video camera to monitor your property? I’m looking for simple but effective, multiple cameras. Maybe even something that you don’t have to hook a computer up to or WiFi, yet easily stores the data for at least a 2 month time frame. I guess ideally from a distance one would want to review the footage at any time.

@JD Martin the for sure barometer of a legit town is weather they have a Chipotle or not. Big cities have tons of them.

@JD Martin haha, ok. We’re a block away from downtown, so it feels bigger to us and all this historical stuff you just don’t see in CA! But don’t underestimate Greeneville cuz here’s a bi shopping center that just went from abandoned to having a 5 below, Marshals, Ross, and theresa Harbor Frieght. No Home Depot though, so yeah it’s small and all the towns out here seem to be growing rapidly. Probably a lot of business hype across the country, I haven’t punched any real numbers on growth for this area other than Knoxville is a fast grower and a fellow was really vouching for Bristol the other day. I would never look for work in Greeneville though because I know the good stuff is in the bigger cities. I’ve found flipping in Greeneville to be pretty convenient because they have a lot of local building supply places, but we did have to hit Knox rail for cabinets and Floor & Decor for tile and counters.

@JD Martin should I say Greeneville is a small town?? Or is it a big city around here? Yeah we’re out of state flipping one there and Virginia, just little “fun” entry level flips. Feel free to stop by anytime to laugh at the trees and neighbor f you want!

@JD Martin my wife says your info is “Golden”. So funny and sounds exactly right. It’s more about this mentally unstable neighbor now. I’ve moved my family away and we’re having to regroup and get back to it soon

@John Underwood funny you would say that. I did email them the deed description and measurements but I don’t know if there’s a mapped survey. I’m sure they can pull anything they need in no time in Greeneville, TN. I’d like to see if I can rent a metal detector. Didn’t want to go looking for one, that would be cool if it’s rentable.

@Jay Hinrichs thanks Jay, always good to know worst case scenario in size x3 charges. Can’t be that bad since these dang trees look to be on average 3-5” thick. Very interesting on the timber tracts too as surely we’ll face this too as we like to buy country land sometimes too.

@Matt Devincenzo thanks for the cost potential Matt. Believe it or not, we bought a couple out of state houses in TN area but it’s a block away from the downtown area of med sized city. Shouldn’t be too expensive. Thanks for sharing CA cost, I’ve never done it there because they always have the pins in the curbs it seems.
