I have 6 SFH rentals in Leland, NC and all paid April and May on time. No one furloughed that I know of so all is good.

Thank you.  I was just discussing that option with a neighbor on Sunday.   I think it is a good idea and will look into it.  You are right there are no restrictions there.  Thanks again.

We moved to the Savannah area (from Wilmington, NC) and wanted to buy a house/condo downtown to rent out and be able to use occasionally .  I recently found that the property has to have the Short Term rental Certificate or you can not rent it out for less than 6 months.  A real Estate agent told me they cap each section of Savannah at 20% of the homes and there is no availability at least in the historic district.  I was wondering if anyone has experience with this.   It obviously has some value to it, but is it even worth getting on a waiting list?    If anyone has properties they are want to sell with the certificate in place, please let me know.   Thanks.

Welcome Gary! I just moved from Wilmington to Savannah area. We have seven SFHs, mostly in Leland which is a great bedroom community for Wilmington and has really paid off well for us. Inventory is a little low right now for the $150-$190 SFH investors, but when you find one they pay off nicely. Wilmington is great for long term rentals as well.

New to RE investments, but have bought four units this year. Been in Wilmington for a year, but still working and traveling full time outside of RE.  Looking forward to building our RE business.
