Looking to find people in the Hawthorne, Los Angeles, Culver city,  Inglewood area who wouldn't mind meeting and discussing real estate every now and then.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen of BP,

I am currently active duty Marine Corps and I recently closed on my first property. A duplex in South Central Los Angeles, a few minutes from the University of Southern California. I have been looking into las Vegas and wanted to know how some of the BP members have done out there. I'd also like to message anyone with knowledge specific to the 89122 area. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

@bryan c. The duplex was 345,000. Both units 1/1 detached car garages, close to USC. I plan to do a little work so I can one day rent both for 1200-1300 each with the mortgage being 2150. Came out of pocket less than 2000. Not the best deal ever but I think it will appreciate quite nicely with the stadium and all the other projects going on around here.

I'm 23 and will be picking up the keys for my first duplex in a couple days. I plan to continue to invest in south central los Angeles. I'm active military and plan to use the no pmi va loan to my advantage as I acquire more buy and hold property.
