Hey Josh my wife and I bought a two flat a couple years ago in Berwyn and its doing great. The rents are anywhere from 1200-1500. We are currently house hacking. The prices of two-three units are much lower than single family houses. There is so much opportunity for cash flow properties in Berwyn specially around roosevelt rd, borderline Oak Park.

So my wife and I are ready for our second multi-family property but are not sure how to approach it. We own a 2 unit building that has about 75k worth of equity. Should we refinance and pull out the equity for our down payment? Or use our savings?

We have been house hacking for two years now and we love it! This property is opening so many doors for us.
