Quote from @Jake Wiley:

I am not sure exactly the purpose here. Typically you'd use a DBA if you were operating the property personally (sole proprietor) but wanted to present like a business, you'd file the DBA to allow you to do such legally, or if the LLC name was not what you'd want to use for doing business.

The LLC, if operated appropriately, will provide for liability protections, whereas a DBA does not, and is really just a legalized name you can use around the actual business structure.

Hopefully, that is helpful.

Sorry meant to state that the Facility will be in a different name as the LLC

I am purchasing my first self storage facility and I am wondering since I want it to be owned under my LLC, would I need to do a DBA? Pros and Cons? What are my options if not?

I found some decent quotes from 365garagedoorparts.org

I’m in the process of purchasing a storage unit facility and need to find a spring supplier. Everyone local had gotten away from commercial doors and say either way there is a major shortage of springs. Iv googled until I cant any more. Found some but they are outrageously overpriced. I’m contemplating ordering some on alibaba direct from China. Wondering if anyone maybe has a connection they’d be willing to send my way? Thanks

Thank y’all. I spoke with the justice of the peace for the area my rental is in and notified him that I did receive a 30 day notice in text form. He informed me that written notice is the best. And I would give her until this weekend which would be 10 days past the 30 day notice to remove anything she wanted. The rest would go on the covered front porch for one more week then disposed of. He told me I’m a lot nicer than he would be. Thank you.

I'm in Louisiana and new to the residential rental market and am going through my first turnover. Tenant owes a month and a half and gave 30 day notice after the first non full payment. Its been a week past her 30 day notice and she is slacking on moving her property out the house. I need to take pictures and list to start properly screening the next tenant. I'm not sure what my next legal step is to continue moving forward. Since her 30 notice is up i'm wondering if its legal to move her stuff out to the front porch or what my next step may be. Also interested in the process you use inbetween tenants to be more efficient. Thanks in advanced.
