Hi Alicia ,

YES!!

There are very lucrative incentives for commercial solar projects (residential too)... typically at least 50% of the total system cost can come back to you via tax credits and rebates for commercial projects. I have a company in California, but we do a lot of work in Florida and Mass as well, and have a CPA firm that specializes in the solar tax code to help our customers claim every penny possible. Please DM if you'd like more info. Cheers!

Yes. If the solar is $20k and the roof is $20k there would be an eligible 26% tax credit on $40k system, so $10,400 tax credit.

Metal roofs are a bit trickier to install on and most companies wouldn’t install on those just a heads up, although we do here in so cal

Hope this helps!

Hi Lars I have a solar company in Southern California and the answer is yes you can bundle the roof work into the financing of the system as one project and claim 26% federal tax credit as one project. We typically offer 20-25 year terms at 1.99-2.99%

Feel Free to message me with specific questions.

Super smart!

One of the biggest misconceptions is you have to spend $$$ to go solar.

You can go solar for $0 down; still own the system and get tax credits and lower your bill by 30-50% especially in SDGE territory.

I do this for a living and would love to give you an investor friendly deal. We should be able to lock in your winter rate all your round.
