I would advise to get a contractor to look at it. At least here in Utah, wood to concrete needs to have a barrier in between concrete and wood, or we would use a treated wood so wood doesn't rot.
Also, I would recommend fastening it down with nails, screws or bolts. That way in the future flooring will not be an issue. But, I live by measure twice, cut once philosophy.
Hey you all! It's great to be on BP. I have been a bit quiet looking over posts and listening to podcasts.
In a short little while, I have learned a ton.
A little about myself. I started in retail at a grocery store at 16. My father ran and owned a specialty contracting business during the time. I then served a service mission in El Salvador for two years from 19-21. That was an awesome experience. When back in Utah, I helped my father run his construction business. That's when I got an itch for real estate. But, 2009 happened, and wiped my fathers business out. I just had twins that were born early, which forced me to look elsewhere other than real estate investing.
I did corporate America for the next 4 years, and hated it. I am a licensed real estate agent for over 2 years.
Now, with some new knowledge I am ready to learn more and apply the knowledge.
