Hi Mike,

By the way,  where can you get a brokers license for $250?  I assumed you had to be a licensed real estate agent, then a broker, after so much time has elapsed.

Hi Mike,

I agree with you.  I had a background check and nothing showed up.  The only thing I am concerned about is if I want to get licensed, will that be a deterant and will I have to then jump through the hoops to get it resolved?  As well, I haven't officially requested a hearing.  I have to write a request to LARA and the assistant attorney general.  I haven't done that.  I know a really good real estate attorney and am going to consult with him to see what I should or shouldn't do before I move forward.

It's the principal of the thing.  I was making good money, now I can't!  Unless, I just  continue and stay away from realtors.  If one is on the radar, I back away.  I have done buys and sells privately with realtors and brokers, have friends in the business, so it's sad  one  ignorant, uneducated, prejudice,  realtor on a vendetta, ruins it.

I ran my personal real estate investment business like everyone else that invests in real estate  buy and sells.  I don't agree, however, when you say you can't advertise on Craigs or elsewhere? I have advertise all the time, as well, millions of other people for all kinds of items, private homes for sale, is just one category.  There are thousands of private homes for sale!

I'm selling antiques on line.  Do I have to have a retail license to sell them?  Of course not.  There are tons of cars for sale on Craigs.  Do you have to have a car dealership license?  Of course not.

My name is on the PSA as a buyer of the property.  A contigency on the contract is to  have the right to assign the PSA if I choose to.  What is wrong with that?  Craig's List wouldn't have a List if nobody could sell or buy as a private individual.

As well, signs are put in yards, street corners all the time advertising FOR SALE by OWNER. I never use MLS listings. It's a private buy and sale. I am the only one, no other interest other than a profit.

Realtors or brokers don't get paid to be the principal on the PSA.  I don't represent anybody. Thanks for the feedback.

Why am I on their radar?  That's a good question.  You know the saying, haters hate!?  This is a crazy, illegal, wrong accusation.  They have no business putting me on their "radar".  Seriously, this is WRONG!!!

Again, I have not even HINTED a note of inpropriety.  I have never represented anyone, my name is a PRINCIPLE on the PSA, I am in business for myself, by myself.  Why are you questioning me about this here?  Obviously, it's a mistake. I came here for support, not more accusations.  Sorry, but it is a false accusation.  I can't just let it go.  If this is a permanent record and open to public, then what?

I am a certified Health and Wellness LIfestyle weight loss coach.  That is my chosen profession. I enjoy PRIVATELY, investing in real estate, on my own, just like many people do.  This is what I enjoy profiting from.

I have many acquaintances from all walks of life, including brokers, business owners, teachers, licensed real estate agents, contractors, accountants, etc., that do exactly what I do on their own as a freedom in the United States to invest in anything.  I choose real estate.  Some choose gold, cars, silver, antiques, etc.

I have done nothing remotely illegal or questionable.  All my investors are cash buyers.  The people that are involved are cash buyers.  They don't want to pay me my Assignment of Contract profit. They involved a realtor that is blinded by his own agenda.

There it is in a nutshell.

What's the link?  Who is the company?  Is it legal in the State of Michigan?  I'm just angry right now. To think someone can twist what I am and what I do to suit their opinion and then I get punished for their ignorance and arrogance.  The realtor who started this has no idea what  or who I am.

I am NOT a realtor, never have been, never said or acted as one.  He is so very sadly ignorant and so wrong.  Because he is licensed as an agent, does that give him clearance to accuse and judge me for being a private investor?  No, it doesn't.  That is the center of this mess.  He thinks I am infringing on his territory or some such foolishness.

I have called LARA in Lansing two times.  Kim, the director answered the second time and when I tried to ask her questions, she claimed she wasn't Kim, and couldn't even answer a question about how long this would be on my file.  She kept interrupting me.  I know it was her because she answered and said, Hello, this is Kim!  Whatever.  She then sent me to a VM and I left another message.

I live 80 miles from Lansing.  Guess what?  It's a short drive.

Hi Clay,

Yes, you are correct about the 5 homes in Michigan.  I dont  do this full time and have only bought and sold 4-5 homes/year.   As well, I never represented myself other than a private investor who likes to buy and sell real estate.  My business card says REAL ESTATE INVESTOR.  I don't represent anyone, never have.  I am not a broker because I am a principal on the PSA.  I buy and sell for myself, by myself, just like anybody else who buys and sells.  I have friendships with business owners, general contractors, foster care owners, etc., who like to do real estate as an investment, just like me.  I have a real estate broker,  licensed real estate agent that shares properties with me, as well me with him.

You are correct about the realtor.  He took false accusations and ran with it.  The State Of Michigan sent the cease and desist, LARA department in Lansing.  It's wrong, and I  am going to ask for a hearing to set the record straight.  It doesn't matter if I win or lose, just want to get the facts accurate anf have it be part of this outrageious accusation.  If the State continues with believing  the lies, then I will have to contact ACLU and I do know one of the best real estate attorneys in Michigan.

If it costs me a few hundred for a formal letter/complaint, then that is what I will do.  I am concerned, if I have a background check for any reason from a business venture, job position and this shows up, what will the consequences be for my future and my reputation?  How long will this be in their system?  Forever?

I live in Michigan and am a wholesaler.  I just received a cease and desist for doing what is legal.  My contracts are assignable, I say it, explain to my customer, don't act like I am the owner, but explain all to buyer and seller.  It has all been a pack of lies.  The buyer didn't want to pay me my assignment of contract feeh. a realtor got involved and believed what they said and now I'm being lied about and feel like it's totally wrong and infringes on my rights as a citizen to earn a living.

Would someone please help me with some laws, statutes in the state of Michigan?  I am demanding a hearing and need all advice from experience.  Thank you to all who can help with this ugly mess, that I did not do.
