Hi All,

I moved to Florida for a work since 2021. I have been renting a room because of the cost of housing. I have decided to get an affordable 1bed , 1 bath condo/townhouse in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere in Broward county. Does anyone have a Lease Option that I could consider? I would like to expend my real estate investing, but think to first redirect my rental payment towards a primary resident house payment without increasing my expenses. On my investment so fare, I do have a duplex in Chicago that is rented.  If you have any suggestion or if you think I can help you with anything, please do not hesitate to let me know.

A tenant in one of my units moved in his girlfriend without notifying me or my manager as the lease states. Then he had a restraining order because of domestic violence back in February. His girlfriend stayed in the apartment refusing to lease. I found out then, and  filed an eviction against her in March, then Covid-19 hit and the court closed. As of today the case has been postponed to multiple dates ,and January 7 is the latest one given. The tenant stopped paying since March because he is not living at the apartment. What can I do to expedite the court process in this situation ?
