I have a real state associate who management several of my properties. She gave me a notice of quitting as my property manager for unknown reason. Yet she told one of my tenants to mail her the money order to her work address. I reach out to the realtor associate to confront her about the issue. She stated that she will be keeping the money order that my tenant send for unpaid management fee. Her word and I quote Since that hasn’t happened and we have to get paid for work completed on your properties during our property management agreement time period

We have the right to withhold rent payments until you pay the balance due to the office

Thank you for your cooperation. Can she keeps my rent ?
