Post: Looking to move to Syracuse

I am a future (good) tenant looking to move to Syracuse, NY. It is where I plan to begin my investment journey but first I need a place to rent for 6 months. Any Syracuse landlords on here?

I hope I saved someone the google search that I had to do to realize the title of this category was incorrect.

I love this site. Everyone seems so willing to help others, collaborate on ideas, and partner up. The podcasts have been great too. I love hearing success stories. I quit my job a few months ago and thought I'd quickly land another. Now, rather than finding another cubicle, it seems the best time to take a risk in RE (house hacking or flipping). I currently live in Sacramento, CA but looking to relocate (anywhere). I've considered getting my RE license to learn to trade, but not sure if it's necessary. I have some $$ to invest and potential assets to liquidate, but also know from @brandonturner that there are many financing strategies to get started. The purpose of my post is just as much to network as to seek advice. Recommended first steps (i.e dive right in), first books to read, etc. Thank you in advance and I look forward to quickly becoming a contributing member and appreciating asset to this forum.
