My family and I just relocated to the Charlotte area. I am new to multifamily investing and have so much to learn. I was hoping to connect with an agent or investor who knows the market well or who has experience in the area with multifamilies. Any insight would be appreciated.

The company name is BCR. The manager I work with is Mary Derkoeski. She and her team are very responsive and helpful. If ever I'm in College Station I would be happy to check on things for you. Good luck if you decide to hold on to it.

Hi Tom,

I recently purchased a single family home in College Station. I am an out of state investor and have not regretted the decision yet. I am very new at investing but I have had a great experience so far. Personally, I feel safer with newer properties but if the numbers all work out, it could cashflow now and you could draw from it in the future.

I have what is so far a very decent management company who is pretty good with making me feel like my investment is under good supervision.  I would be happy to recommend them and give you contacts if you would like.

Thanks Brandon.

This site is wonderful, and has taught me a lot already.I have checked out almost all of the available podcast so far and I've been going through many of them the second time.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome!

I was introduced to college station by a colleague of mine, and then a student of mine mentioned that she was from the area and loved it there. I researched the area quite extensively, and thought it made perfect sense. A growing city, a constant stream of renters, and well-maintained neighborhoods.

I would certainly consider investing in the area again but I am also interested in the southern Florida/Miami Fort Lauderdale area.

Rob, Do you own rentals as well? I would always appreciate any tips or advice from someone who has been there for a while.

Hello everyone,

I am 41 yo from New York City, recently relocated to the US Virgin Islands. I am a Physician Assistant and I enjoy my work but would like to begin to turn it over to more passive income. I am new to investing and new to bigger pockets. I just closed on my first investment property in College Station Texas. It's a single unit 4/2 that I intend to rent to college students. I'm not sure yet what my overall strategy would be but it probably includes some combination of rehabbing for capital to buy more long term investments.

I appreciate all of the great ideas and insight floating around this site and hope that one day I can contribute as well as learn. Now that I have my first property, I am really interested in accelerating the process. I look forward to interacting with everyone.
