Tyler - Thanks for the warm welcome. I am definitely going to check out the podcasts on my way home. My strategy for the time being is just to gain as much knowledge and as many relationships as I can. I am still working on becoming debt free so I am using this time to prepare for the future. I would like to start out with flipping a few single-family homes before building a portfolio of single family rentals. I am also taking this time to improve the value and increase equity in my own house. I eventually plan to turn it in to a rental when my family outgrows it.

Hello everyone. I am so happy to have found BiggerPockets! I have been researching real estate religiously for about 2 months now. As early as my high school days I dreamed of early retirement through real estate. Somewhere along the way I lost sight of my goals. I am here today to find the knowledge and support I need to realize these goals. I have spent the last 2 years attacking my student debt which has allowed me to become acclimated a frugal lifestyle. I plan to continue living on the same budget and apply all of my self and my resources to real estate. Thanks for listening and I looked forward to becoming an active member of the community.
