It's great to be part of something real. I posted this on the Exclusive PRO forum because it's more than an introduction. I'm have the classic story of paying for a guru and doing enough to make my money back and then being left behind while I tried to learn more. Hey Scott Phillips It's awesome to hear about investors nearby. I actually just got out of the army and while I was in I started to learn about investing and I was able to make one close while I was in. I made about 6k and I want to do more. I hope to buy a duplex in Rockwall very soon. Any way we could have lunch someday and exchange ideas?

You can also use a program called time trade and basically you get the person to schedule an appointment to talk to you. First it puts you as a somewhat authority figure and second, they call you rather than you call them. This is also a great way to see who will waste your time or not. A simple mailing or email list will do but make sure you are persuasive in your opening correspondence. If you aren't persuasive starting out, you can't expect to get any movement. Read a book about persuasion. "How to master the art of selling" "influence" "pitch anything" and then Charlie Munger's 25 cognitive biases are a great place to start.
