Hi All,

I am Juwan Parker, a basketball coach and soon-to-be Business Teacher in the Columbia, SC area. I am interested in networking and finding local meetups in the area. I own 4 properties in my hometown of Tulsa, OK but have just gotten settled here and want to start the process of building a solid team and foundation, hopefully to buy a house-hack in the area soon. I'm currently reading Craig Curelop's book and noticed how much of an emphasis on networking and asking around he has placed, so I am trying to do that!

If you're interested in talking REI or know of any meetups or have any tips, tricks or advice I am all ears. Thank you in advance!

Hi all,

A real estate buddy of mine was talking about how Home Warranties might be a good tool to have on my portfolio of rental properties. Does anyone here use them or have companies they would recommend looking into?

Thank you!

Hello everyone,

My friend and I both are in REI and each have our own LLCs that we own our individual houses through. We found a killer deal last winter and WE bought it through HIS LLC because we didn't have time to draw up paperwork, get everything legalized, etc. Now, we are trying to figure out the best way to split the equity in the current properties 50/50 (we've been operating on a handshake agreement and want to formalize everything). We plan on buying more properties together and are just looking for the best way to move forward with a formal structure in place.

Any advice is appreciated!

Hi everyone and thank in advance for answering this question.

So I purchased a C-Class property in Tulsa, OK with an window unit that included AC & heat. It was an old unit and went out, unfortunately. I assumed my property manager replaced it with a similar AC/heat unit but it was only AC because they couldn't wait to replace the tenants cooling system.

I just found out it doesn't include heat last week when the tenant brought it up. What is the best way to provide heat in an old, 900 sq ft home?

A couple options I thought about were electric baseboard heating, a floor to wall heater in the living room & 2 bedrooms, I considered HVAC but heard in a home that old it could create other issues... Any advice or suggestions are appreciated!
