Just to clarify, If I upgrade to Plus account I keep the current $90/year price for life, but will I only have the current benefits, like unlimited calculators or the new benefits once the change is made on 11/15/17?  Thanks

Hi there,

I'm about to start investing in some out of area SFH rentals and I'm looking to hire a CPA. I will probably invest in multiple states at some point. Is it best to choose someone from my home market or does that really matter? Does the CPA need to be licensed in all the states I might invest in or just the one I live in. Any help will be appreciated. If anyone has any referrals for the Denver area please send them my way. Thanks

Thanks for all the replies, I forgot to mention we bought our current home in Arvada in 2009 and really like it and don't have plans to move.

@Bill S.  I get your point, but just not sure that the numbers make sense.. Is it still possible to cash flow in the Denver market?

@Jeff F. and @Shawn Ackerman  I like that Idea of a multi-family house hack but we are not looking to move... don't want shared walls and really like our current home. Shawn, what markets do you like in the Mid-West if you don't mind sharing here?

@Shawn Ackerman Thanks for saying Hi!  I will add one question to my intro from earlier.  I have about 100K I'm looking to invest in the next 6-12 months.  Should I look at possibly getting a small multi-family (2-4 units) locally- Denver area... do the rents even make that possible??  Or should I do my due diligence and find a great out of state turnkey provider? I'm not really looking to be the all-in hands on investor. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Hi there,  I'm Jared Zanon from Arvada, CO.  I found BP about a month ago and have been reading blog and forum posts and listening to the podcast.  I've lived in Colorado for 20 years and before that Oregon.  I'm a firefighter in the Denver area and have a wife and 2 young boys.  We had a rental condo in Denver for about 5 years and sold it a few years back and are now looking to get back in the game.  My main goal with real estate is to create some income so we can take long periods of time off to world school our boys.  I've been looking into out of state turnkey properties mostly because of the prices in the Denver metro area.  I'm also interested in some other passive strategies, lending, crowdfunding, notes, etc...  I'm still very new to all this and look forward to connecting with other investors on BP.  Thanks
