You'll find that Experian Biz and D&B are the most active when it comes to business credit. Short answer is no, you don't have to register. Applying for business credit will activate your record. There are ways to get a DUNS number w/o paying. Do not pay D&B anything no matter what they tell you. Not worth it!

I believe there is a REI club that meets in the west Ft Worth area. Don't know anything about it, but you might want to check it out. Get plugged-in, help bird dog/wholesale a deal, partner up with someone, etc so you can get some coin in the bank and gain some experience.

In Texas, some older established neighborhoods, especially those deemed historical, tend to have a small single apartment behind the main house. Renting the "apartment out back" would put her in a much nicer neighborhood than she could ever get on that budget. Not sure she has areas like this where she lives, however.

I use a voip service that allows you to set up all kinds of rules for forwarding, including follow me and setting number of seconds the phone will ring before going to vm - which is great for forwarding to your cell because it can stop just shy of going to your cell phone's vm and instead revert back to your business vm. Best part is you can set a rule to send marketing calls or any phone number you want to lala land. Never rings or goes to vm, just deal air. It's the least expensive service I could find. Problem is, I'm affiliated through a referral program and can't put their name out here. Add your email to your signature block and post back here if you're interested.

Do you mean the official Florida State Board or a local Board of Realtors Association?

I've had good luck with vinyl planks. Except for a few very minor dents, it looked good as new when we sold the house 4 years later. Even survived a little flood when the refrigerator's water dispensing system bit the dust.

Thanks for your post, Josh. Sounds like you are for personal preference. I appreciate that. I am sure many others on this board do as well.
