Chris,

Thank you so much for taking the time and giving me your insight.  You are correct, no wine making or harvesting equipment on the property.  I am having dinner w/ someone next week who bought a vineyard a few years ago.  I will pick his brain and get his input as well and go from there.  He can give me the pros and cons from his perspective.  I will more than likely pass, but time will tell.

Appreciate your help!

Kate

This may be not the right place to ask this, but I am wondering if anyone has information on investing in a vineyard? I came across land for sale with a vineyard already planted. Currently it is being leased out and the lease expires harvest of 2022. I only know the asking price, size of the property, location obviously and that there is no tasting room currently. I know little about farming, let alone owning land to be potentially leased. I do have some connections in the local wine business, and I may need to start there. But, if anyone has any information about investing in agriculture I would appreciate any advice or knowledge you can give. The wine business has grown a lot (no pun intended) in my area and continues to grow, so I wonder what kind of ROI I can expect, I am sure you need more info, but wanted to put the feelers out if I'm asking in the right forum. Thanks in advance!
