After looking at a property with my R.E. agent, and submitting an offer, my agent called me and said that another interested buyer's agent called to say that his client was submitting an offer at or near full asking price. My agent said that I should consider increasing my offer. Am I being played? Should I stick with my original offer? Thank you,
Kevin

I'm Kevin Bohn, and I'm a new member. I live in Alaska, employed as a locomotive engineer. My experience with real estate is limited to purchasing two primary residences, and a cash-out refi to purchase a vacation home.

My short term goal, driven somewhat out of necessity, is to purchase a multi-family investment home in NY state, as a means to secure affordable housing for an aging parent on a fixed income. I intend to form an LLC, and accomplish the entire endeavor jointly with my sibling, who lives in NC.

In doing research, I happened upon this tremendously resourcefull website, and I could not be more pleased that I did.

Due to my limited experience in real estate investing, I regret that I must start as more of a taker than a giver on these forums, but I certainly look forward to the opportunity to participate in any way I can.

Thank You,
Kevin
