Thanks for the info! I asked this same question at a meetup a few days ago and someone had mentioned about the "drop and swap" method, will definitely be checking into that!

I own several rental properties in an LLC with 2 other partners. This year I'm going to be leaving that partnership and the other 2 partners are buying me out. Is it possible for me to do a 1031 exchange and buy other rental properties so I don't need to pay tax on that money?
