So how did Zillow work for rentals? From your quote it sounds like rentals listed on a mls will no longer be shown on Zillow/Trulia. Thanks

Yes, that it seems like. If you're posting to the MLS, the listing will no longer show up on Zillow, Trulia, or Hotpads. I was talking to a few other listing companies, and one of the reps told me that Zillow originally went to them directly asking for compensation to continue to syndicate with them. They declined and it seems Zillow decided to pass it on directly to us. My guess is that they tried to go to the MLS directly and have them pay but they mostly liked declined too and the cost is being passed directly to agents.

I didn't see this post before I posted mine. Is there any way around this?

I work for property management company, and we got an email from Zillow "As of January 2021, rental listings syndicated through the MLS will no longer appear on the Zillow Rentals network. To continue publishing listings on Zillow, Trulia and HotPads, please contact". I know Zillow started charging for listing services, but I thought the MLS was free but it seems that will no longer be the case. What is everyone is else doing about this? I'm not sure it's worth the fees or if there's another way to syndicate to Zillow or there any other good alternatives. Any thoughts or discussions would be welcomed.
