Ok thanks. We will start the process and see what happens.

It costs $2500 to break the lease. I was thinking if we stay for 10 months at $2100 a month that’s $21,000 paying the apartment complex. That money could be going towards equity.

My husband and I are currently renting our apartment for $2100 a month. We have 10 months left on our lease. But we want to buy a duplex and house hack to start our real estate investing. Should we wait the 10 months until lease is over or break the lease now and buy duplex while interest rates are low?
