@Ahmed K. Thank you Ahmed. The decor and furniture was something I expected to make the place stand out. When I see some of these properties with tiled bathrooms and more I started to wonder if it’s worth the investment. Maybe something to consider going to the owner with to make this improvements and we could work something out.

Hello folks,

I’ve been looking into AirBNB arbitrage and curious to know if anyone has invested in the property they “lease” for short term rental? In my market there are average properties where others look like luxury suites. In order to stay competitive in the market, would one recommend investing their money into making the property look more appealing with new appliances, light fixtures ect or work with what you have? It doesn’t seem ideal to poor my money into a property that’s not mine, but I’d still like to take an edge in my market. I look forward to hearing the feedback.

I appreciate the advice. That’s great. So to sum up. Find selling price on homes in the area, determine renovation cost with cost of property and determine margin... Ehat other cost should I expect to have and what may they be??

Hello All. My name is Ken, I am from NY and i am new to investing. My main goal to be brief is to get into rentals. I like the idea for retirement reason. I do however want to flip a few houses. Flipping id not a future for me and my plan, but I would like to have a few under my belt for the experience and of course the money!!!!

My question is, when looking at a forclosed property, (needing some TLC) what are some important things to look for as far as the property is concerned? How can you tell if the property is worth it (condition wise) for the amount of money?
