I was interested in a foreclosed property so I spoke with the realtor.  He told me that the owner went missing and they were not allowing anyone to inspect the property due to theft liability...?   I asked a realtor friend of mine and he says that he has never heard of such a thing.  Do they really expect buyers to spend money without inspecting the property??

Yes, Im still underwater, but Im not sure by how much. I don't qualify for HARP, because its not a Fannie Mae/Freddie mac loan.  I have modified CDA loan.  What do you mean when you say "get it to a point where it covers costs and sit in a holding pattern"?

Hey folks,

Im in a current underwater mortgage that will not yield any cashflow upon renting.  However, Im looking to make some moves.  I was approved for a loan contingent upon rental income for my current property, but the rental wouldn't provide any more than the cost of the mortgage.  Even as a beginner, I know that negative cashflow is not good.  If it came down to it, I could make two mortgage payments in a vacancy situation, but we all know that there has to be some cashflow toward repairs.  Im not just seeking an investment property.  I would like to relocate as well.  Which would be better to do first?  What are some options that I can utilize?  T  I refuse to let this deter my goals of attaining more property.
