Hello everyone, I have to start somewhere. I have a duplex that was passed down to me from my dad. I have that up and going, now Im interested into buying a multifamily unit. I've attended REIA events and other meetups in person and online. Have another event on Saturday but I never can run across any private lenders. Seem like everyone is starting off like myself at these events. Could anyone point me in the right direction to where I have not been seeking. I have multifamily deals given to me daily!!! No assistance with funding so I end up losing out. So are there any other locations to seek private lenders?

@Nithya D. During these times. Look into someone renting it out for airbnb/short term rentals.

I am looking for advice on how to finding private lenders. I have deals but every lender I come in contact with is hard money loans. Im in my Meetup Group for Dallas, Tx and all I run into while networking people with the same questions I have or trying to sale $40k to be in their group of investors, attorneys, lendersand etc. Any networking events, referrals or advice will be highly appreciated.

@Jenny Elomaa I understand where you're coming from. Look into a multifamily. So one of the spaces can pay the mortgage.

@Ernesto Duran help me understand this. If they are in pre foreclosure, how come you're not doing the Sub To route where you just take over their mortgage? Change their mind from sale to sub to the deal to you. You just pay their unpaid payments, they deed the property over in your name. You make your renovations and the seller doesn't have a foreclosure under their name.

@Tim Herman Finding a good pre foreclosure will be better in my opinion. Pre Foreclosure you're only paying the sellers missed payments. They take you to the title company to switch your name on the deed and property is yours. Either you can put buy and hold or sale. Sub To Deal.

@Josh Pulley Hello, I don't know how much information you have on RE, but for your town attend a REI meetup so you can gain more insight on RE and so you can network. Also pick a niche on what part of RE you will like to work. Are you interested in wholesaling, fix and flip, hold and buy, etc. After picking your niche, and going to a meetup. Get Started!!!

@Vinnie Da silva door knocking. If you don't like door knocking, hire someone to do it. Pre Foreclosures usually don't answer calls, or texts. Reason why they probably have numerous of debt people calling and texting and they will just turn their phone off. I've had great success door knocking. Around that after work/school hours.
