Been a renter for some time and finally purchased my first property. The last two apartments I lived in all had a deadbolt lock but a dummy door handle for the apartment front entry.
Putting new doors on the entry doors for my property and I'm wondering why are apartments doing this? Is this the new strategy for apartment doors?

Have 3 units that are currently one bedroom but I want to convert into two bedroom.
Have you ever converted units these size into 2 bedroom?
Unit 2: 700-750 sqft
Unit 3: 750 - 800 sqft
Unit 4: 650-700sqft
If so May you share examples?

Does anyone have a renovation project management spreadsheet/tool you can share as as a template?
In the BiggerPockets files there is a timeline Image/PDF but no excel spreadsheet or tool so I can plug in my own information.
I have my scope of work document but I'm visual and need to see it in a more timeline view.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experience doing this. Sounds like some people are able to make it work in their market and others are not. I’m going to try it out as an experiment

Anyone have experience marketing units as “coming soon”?
Basically preselling units so that way you have applicants lined up once renovations are complete.
If you do have experience doing please share your strategy. Such as photos used since units are being renovated and don’t look rent ready.
Renovations for my units are set to be complete in the late spring early summer. Thinking about marketing when we are 30 - 60 days close to completion
