Wow! Beautiful job, @Micki M.! I'm curious, how did you manage the rehab when you're based in Denver? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I appreciate you all reaching out.
@Paul Timmins thank you for the suggestions regarding the clubs, I'm on the hunt
@Sarah Lam , thank you so much for the invitation, unfortunately, I am working until 6pm in Santa Clara, and at that hour would never make it to the city on time (if at all!). Please keep me in mind for future gatherings.
@Mehran Kamari I listened to the podcast you were on...when you mentioned about your job requiring night shifts, I wondered whether you were "in the biz". I would love to connect with you more regarding out of area investing. There seems to be as many good posts as there are bad about it.
@Ugochukwu Opara, great to hear from you. Your words are definitely encouraging.
@Keith Boley thanks for reaching out, I will definitely keep your offer in mind..so much to navigate!
Thanks again for welcoming me to BP!

Hello all,
My name is Kevin. I'm originally from Philadelphia, but moved to CA 12 years ago. I live in the Bay Area on the peninsula with my wife. We are both in the healthcare industry.
My first and only personal experience with RE investing was my first home, 15 years ago, which I bought with the intention of having a place to live for a couple of years, then moving on and keeping it as a rental. I kept it for 5 years after we moved to CA, but then sold it in order to help pay for a major renovation on our residence here in CA.
I have always wanted to continue with investing, but got comfortable. I also went to grad school to study for my current position (I don't regret this, only setting the scene).
My goal, for now, is to get started in buy and hold investing and to generate enough passive income so that we can cut back/stop working in our current fields within the next 10 years (earlier would be even better).
I would love to make contacts with folks with experience and establish a mentoring relationship, especially with folks who invest in areas outside of their primary residence areas (Bay Area folks will know why I'm saying this). I also look forward to taking advantage of the hard earned wisdom flying around the forums!
I have been reading the Ultimate Beginner's Guide and listening to the podcasts. I really love the podcasts..thanks to those who have taken their time to contribute to this site!
Glad to be here!
