Hello Everyone-

I need to reintroduce myself on here. I was living in NYC but have now officially moved back to Maine. I just turned 30, it's a New Year, and I FINALLY moved Biggerpockets.com all the way to the left on my bookmarks bar, so it will be the very first thing I click on, even before I check my email. 

I love this website and I listen to the podcasts religiously. I just finished listening to the one with Hal Elrod from the Miracle Morning. That was really dynamite. I also finished reading The One Thing by Gary Keller. The one thing I know I need to do EVERY SINGLE DAY is to check my Bigger Pockets account, read, read, read, and network. 

Any fellow "Maine-ahs" on here? I sure hope so. I also hope everyone is off to a great start with the New Year!

Hello Everyone- my name is Laura Jane Leighton. I'm originally from Maine, but looking to invest in multi-families in Beacon, NY and the Hudson River Valley, starting in September of 2015. I am interested mainly in buy & hold. I would like to find a rental property in which I can live, as well as rent out the other units. I believe Brandon Turner calls this house hacking? I want to get a head-start on introducing myself to members of the site as well as to folks in the Hudson River Valley region. I have several real estate contacts in Manhattan (where I lived for 3 years), but none in the Beacon area. I'm hoping to connect with people who have similar goals. Thank you for reading!
