Post: How to improve linoleum backsplash

My goal is to improve a linoleum backsplash without removing it.  Has anyone successfully primed this product with "gripper" paint or another primer and then painted it successfully. What type of paint looks best (eggshell, semi-gloss, etc) or do you have any other ideas for improving what I have to work with?

A contractor suggested I do this to both linoleum and ceramic tile. I am trying to keep costs down but do not want to see peeling paint in the near term.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I am an investor from Massachusetts looking to purchase properties in two specific areas:  Portsmouth, NH and Lynnfield, MA.  My intent is to buy, renovate as needed, rent for five to fifteen years and then sell when market conditions are favorable. I am familiar with property values in these locations and I believe both are excellent rental markets for different reasons.

What is the best way to build a network of wholesalers for these two specific areas? Or, how can I best find undervalued properties?  I have been working with agents and have had some limited success finding properties that are below market.  In the past year, I have purchased and rented one property and I have another under agreement.  Both were acceptable deals but I am looking to improve my process.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can share with me.

I am about to close on my first investment property in Portsmouth, NH. I am looking for reasonably priced but quality cabinetry and appliances for a full kitchen and bathroom remodel. The ARV for the 3 BR 1.5 Bath Ranch in a family neighborhood will be $325k to $350k. I am looking for recommendations on cabinetry suppliers, contractors and other resources suitable for an affordably priced "starter" or family home for this region.

Thank you.
