Hi there,

I was in the process of acquiring my first deal as a rental property using FHA but after the inspection, I decided to walk away. I felt that I would've been way over my head with repair & renovation costs. As someone who is new to Real Estate Investing, I didn't trust my analysis (or lack there of) so I potentially missed out on a good deal or a nightmare.

I would like to revisit this same deal with some assistance to improve my analytical skills and areas of improvement.

Thanks

@Nabil Suleiman Thanks Nabil! I am located near USC & work in Santa Monica but am willing to commute anywhere as I am trying to accumulate as much knowledge as I can. I would love to have more info on your group.

@Jacob Scarpaci Hi Jacob, I also live in the Los Angeles area and new to RE. House hacking is something I plan on doing as well. As I am new to BP and RE, I cannot offer any advice but look forward to being on this journey with you. Best of luck!

Hi, my name is Lewin Staine and I'm 24 years old. I graduated from San Diego State in 2018 with a degree in Accountancy. I currently live in the Los Angeles area and work for a REIT that invest in shopping centers. During my time here as a Development Accountant, I've grown an interest for RE but more so REI. I've listened to many BP podcast and majority of the people on the podcast recommended reading the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Now that I am finished with it, I am looking for other books to read that will expand my knowledge with REI.

When I find something I like, I like to dive in head first, so that's how I came across BP. As someone without any knowledge in RE or REI, I am currently seeking advice for books to read, current RE investors mentors and/or REIA in the Los Angeles County area that I can attend.

If you're a REI in the Los Angeles County area, willing to give advice or looking for a mentee, please feel free to reach out. I am simply here to expand my knowledge whether that be hands on or via reading as I aspire to become a REI one day.

Thanks!
