Post: Backing out of a custom built new construction

A friend was saying they got approved for a house, but they cant lock in the final price because they have custom built it and its still under construction. so they cant lock it in until 2 months prior to signing and the price is continuing to go up. i was just curious if anyone could explain what would happen if the buyer needed to back out of a custom built new construction because of the price became too high ? I am also curious about if and how the new interest rate hikes would affect the buyer in this situation ? Thanks so much for your time

As a student fresh out of college and looking for a new job what are some things that i should look for when looking for a place to live ? Like what deems a place as a good place to live or a good deal ?

With all the news on potential market crashes in the future, I’m curious how this affects an investors decisions at the moment? Does it deter investors from investing at the moment ? But then, interest rates are low so it should be an incentive to buy homes ?

Hi all,
I’m curious if you rent a house on a college campus per say and the students are involved in illegal activities such as underage drinking/furnishing alcohol/using drugs, are you liable if someone gets caught or hurt ?
Thank you for your time and hope you have a wonderful day !

This might be a really dumb question, but this question stems from the Rental Property Calculator. If you don’t include utilities in the rent, then do you still need to add a value into those slots ? My impression is that if utilities are not included then the tenants would pay for it on top of their monthly rent, so then the value that I input in the calculator should be 0. Thank you all for your time :)
