One of our close family members has had to enter assisted living and according to our attorney, we must rent, rather than sell, her home in Fullerton, California. We are currently in discussions with contractors about improvements needed to her home (she has done little work on it over the past thirty years) prior to renting and are feeling totally overwhelmed. I have so many questions I don't know where to begin. What kind of insurance do you carry when you are renting your property out? What kind of professional do I turn to for advice? How do I find a good property management firm (I live 2000 miles away)? And these are just a few of the questions I have. I stumbled upon this website while I was looking at rental property for sale close to us, and hope that someone can give me some info. Thanks so much
