Hi Chad, I am an engineer from El Campo TX interested in the same type of buy and hold investing. My small team is looking to buy 1-2 single families a year for long term rentals. I'd like to hear how everything goes for you as my team is in the same situation and welcome to BP

Good morning everyone! My name is Luke Netardus from El Campo, TX (~1.5 hours southwest of Houston). I have been an engineer in south Texas for a year now after serving five years in the Navy. I am interested in buy and hold investments with small cash flows with the ultimate goal of being able to pay all of my monthly expenses with the rental cash flow in 15 years and continue working my full time job. Currently I am working to obtain my real estate agent license for the purpose of MLS access and the ability to write offers and control transactions. I am part of a small close knit team which includes a home inspector and an excellent handy man. I found BP less than a month ago when I was researching how to get started. My experience is limited to a condo I bought and sold (primary residence) in VA and my current primary home in Texas. I am very excited to get started and hope to have my first property in about 5 months.
