Hello, Bigger Pockets!
I’m in the process of interviewing investor-friendly real estate agents in the Columbus, OH area.
I'm looking to purchase 3- to 8- unit multifamily properties/SFH for value-add and buy and hold opportunities.
Does anybody have any referrals that I can interview? Thank you!

hey, have you been able to get pricing on putting a property into a land trust, online I've seen people mention in 2-8k range. Which sounds a lot and I don't think it worth it
Did you find a quote? am in similar situation
Quote from @Carlos Ramirez:
A land trust gives you extra anonymity and protection compared to just using LLCs.
With a land trust:
- The public records show the land trust as owner, not you. This adds privacy.
- You transfer the property into the trust, but your LLC is named as beneficiary.
- This separates legal and equitable ownership for extra protection.
- You can easily change beneficial interests behind the scenes.
- Only one entity to maintain - the land trust. This saves costs and headaches.
So land trusts are great for valuable properties or if you want maximum anonymity. They complement a WY LLC by adding an extra layer of privacy and flexibility. The trust holds legal title, while you control things privately as beneficiary.
Let me know if this helps
Thank you for explaining it well.
Can I buy property in land trust directly or buy in my name and then transfer it to land trust?
Can we do land trust on our own or RE attorney needed?

Hello all experienced real estate investors I need your guidance please :)
I'm starting to invest on out of state real estate. I'm skeptical on how to structure the trust and LLC OR just do land trust with umbrella policy. Assuming i plan to invest on 10 plus doors(Commercial)
1. Can I first buy the property under my name and then create a land trust. And then start an xyz LLC so I can assign the land trust under xyz LLC. Does this structure recommended for liability protection? (I know there is lot of debates on this topic in BP but am still confused going through YouTube and other online blogs) (mortgage: It’s investor loan with 25% down and I assuming there is no due to sale clause)
2. For anonymity shield can I create Wyoming llc and assign xyz llc under Wyoming llc? Does this really help with anonymity?
3. Does creating a Land trust help to be anonymity?
To Summarize, all am looking for is cover my bases from law suits if anything **** happens & to have anonymity.
Big investing gurus in this platform please advise.

NE Ohio is a good market, with many opportunities with the right agent/ Property manager. I suggest looking into KMLK Property Management; you won't be disappointed; they are the best at what they do.
Any recommendations for investor agent & Property manager in NE ohio?
Hi All,
I'm an out of state investor starting on investing in LTR around Toledo, Ohio area.
- Could you please connect me with a good investor RE agent in Toledo area?
- Also, any leads for commercial mortgage lenders would be helpful?
